Of course, when I say that the universe is bipolar, I don't mean that it suffers from manic depression. What I mean is that the energy manifests itself in a dualistic way. We can examine everything through the prism of a two opposing poles. Or through the pairing of two opposing elements. This nature is particularly well represented in some Eastern philosophies, religions and Western schools of psychology.
Let me give you some examples.
Light and darkness. Good and evil. Creation and destruction. If we go down to the most microscopic elements, or if we go up to a cosmic level, we will always witness the same bipolar nature: electrons and protons, black holes and white holes. Even our emotions come in dualistic pairs: joy and sadness, calmness and anger, and so on. In the same way, our life experience has its opposite ups and downs. Everything has a beginning and an end. I could go on and on with examples, but that's not the point of this article.
What I want to focus on here is that although we are talking about opposites, we shouldn't forget that they are the two irreplaceable parts of one spectrum. Sometimes we cannot really put a name to this spectrum. As we will see when we talk about life and death, or my most favourite - love and fear, which we will look at in the next article. But for now - back to the topic. The less sad we are, the happier we feel. The brighter the light, the less the darkness. And vice versa.
To better understand the wholeness of a spectrum, we can look at the interesting case of the coin. It has its tails and its heads side. You cannot have one without the other. If you can see the tails, then you cannot see the heads. It doesn't matter from which angle you look at the coin. You can only see one side at a time. Unless! Unless you spin the coin fast enough for your brain to register both sides simultaneously. In our previous article we learned that everything is made of energy, so we could say that the energy has to opposite sides and we can see only see one side at a time, unless the energy is in some kind of motion. And here we can draw some interesting and equally important conclusions.
1. As two opposite sides of a whole, we cannot have one without the other.
2. We can only perceive one at a time.
3. The above rule is a subject to change when the energy is in some kind of motion
Now that we know all this, let's think about one more thing. Imagine that we have to write something on a blackboard. If we wrote it down in the same black colour as the blackboard, we wouldn't be able to see it. If we wrote it in white or some other light colour, it would be easy to see. At the same time, we wouldn't paint a white dove on a white wall, unless we mixed the white paint with some other colours first. Here we can draw two more conclusions:
4. To achieve some results, we need to use energy that is further towards the opposite end of the spectrum. The further we go, the stronger the results, or the faster we get them.
5. We need to pay attention to the situation so that we can choose the appropriate energy to use.
These 5 conclusions can be summarised as follows. Energy manifests itself in two polarities. These two polarities cannot exist separately. They are correlated. They are experienced in motion. Isn't that what the symbol of yin and yang represents? Two correlated opposites in perpetual motion. On our journey to self-improvement we will find how these fundamental laws are manifested in different religions, philosophies and even science. With each step we will become more accepting and more at peace. Instead of taking part in conflicts, we will be able to see their solutions. And so we begin to project Love in into our lives. More on Love in the next article where we will look at a very peculiar spectrum, the opposites of which are Love and Fear.
Until next time, try to find more examples of- or arguments against the duality of the universe. Feel free to leave your comments below or contact us via email or on the social media.
